The Coral analyzer is executes a series of profiles, rules and categories that are shared with all users on the Coral server.
| • | Rules - The most basic unit in the Coral analyzer and allow customers to verify that their contract meets a particular requirement. If a rule is executed, it will return one of three values: Pass, Failure, or Suggestion. |
| • | Categories - A named collection of rules that are used to group related rules in the user interface. When you create a rule, it must be associated with a category. |
| • | Profiles - Named groupings of rules that can be used by all users on the Coral server to analyze contracts or messages. Profiles contain a list of rules to be executed by the Coral analyzer, and can also override the severity to be reported if the rule is violated. |
Profiles, rules, and categories are resources that are shared by all users on a Coral server. Most organizations will assign one or two individuals to create or modify these items for the rest of the organization.
